First Fike family vote

I have spoken to so many of you who have said “So great to meet you, I already voted for you.” It’s always nice to hear the confirmation of votes but today marked a special vote. My brother was home from SMSU for the weekend and was able to both register and vote on his … More First Fike family vote

Endorsements still rolling in!

I’m very happy to announce that along with the laborers, we are also bringing the farmers back to prominence in the Democratic-Farmer-Laborer party. Minnesota Farmer’s Union has endorsed my campaign and I’m glad to work with them. The rural communities of Minnesota will be forgotten no more.

Presidential debacle

After taking some time to process the farce of a “debate” we saw Tuesday night, I think the American public saw exactly what is wrong with politics today. Instead of policy and actual debate we saw bullying and demagoguery. I yearn for real debate and discourse. I still firmly believe this can be brought back. … More Presidential debacle

Mailers coming soon

With less than 50 days until the election I’ve made the biggest financial move of this election. A postcard outlining my commitment to the counties will be going out to many houses in the district. This mailing has been made possible by all of you that donated. This is a grassroots campaign funded by small … More Mailers coming soon

What we lost 19 years ago.

I found posting yesterday difficult. I thought I would post one of those “I miss 9/12” posts that have prevalent in recent years. But I’ve decided that doesn’t align with how I feel. I don’t miss 9/12 or 9/13 or any day immediately after. I remember being very confused by everything that was happening on … More What we lost 19 years ago.

Double endorsements today!

The endorsements are rolling in today! I’m so glad to have the Sierra Club’s North Star chapter behind me. Their organization has been dear to my heart for years and I look forward to working with them.

Endorsement announcement

I’ve received word that MAPE has joined the growing league of Labor unions throwing their support behind me. I’m glad to have them and look forward to working alongside them as I have with their members employed at the correctional facility.

Civility

I have yet to speak to someone in this district who wasn’t behind me on the key issues I’m concerned with: funding our schools, expanding our broadband internet access, creating a new stream of revenue by legalizing and regulating marijuana, and creating better plots of public land to hunt and camp in our district. These … More Civility

People over Party

Throughout the course of this election, I’ve been asked repeatedly about my party alliance and I want to set this straight. Private citizen Josh is voting for Biden/Harris this November, but Candidate Josh can only make the case for himself. If late Congressman John McCain were still with us and running this year, I’d vote … More People over Party

Pamphlets coming soon

I’m working on some pamphlets for a lit drop soon. This year brings unique challenges to getting my values out to you folks. These are challenges that will be overcome by the determination that rural Minnesota has given me. Help me turn up the volume of our voice in St. Paul by donating and volunteering. … More Pamphlets coming soon
